Two People Injured After Vehicle Crashes Down Ravine in Summerdale

SUMMERDALE, Ala. An early morning wreck on Tuesday has injured two people, including a small child, in Summerdale.
The Baldwin County 911 Communications Center received a call for help at around 6:30 a.m.
According to law enforcement, the driver lost control of their vehicle near CR 32 and Etta Smith Road, and the vehicle landed more than twenty feet down a ravine into water.
Two people, including a small child, were injured, and a medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene and later canceled. Instead, the injured were taken to an area hospital by ambulance.
Sheriff deputies, an ALEA trooper, EMS, and several local fire departments were dispatched to the wreck.
ALEA said that the accident is under investigation.
