Two People Arrested After Fleeing Mobile County Deputies

MOBILE, AL. The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics/Vice units were conducting surveillance in Tillmans Corner.
During the surveillance, deputies observed a known drug offender, Sam Chhom, conducting a hand-to-hand drug transaction.
MCSO Deputies attempted a traffic stop near Three Notch Rd and Diamond Ln., however Chhom refused to stop, and a brief pursuit ensued.
During the pursuit, Chhom was observed throwing a clear box out of the window.
Deputies were able to box the vehicle in on Schillinger’s Road and bring the pursuit safely to an end without any injuries or property damage.
Deputies also determined that Chhom had an active felony arrest warrant and he was arrested for felony eluding, certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm (felony warrant), tampering with physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The passenger, Kehosa Blakeney, was also arrested for possession of marijuana in the 2nd degree.
Both suspects have been booked into the Mobile Metro Jail.
