Trump Administration to Move Fannie Mae to Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville announced that the Trump administration is relocating housing giant Fannie Mae to Birmingham.
Tuberville credited President Trump for the decision, stating it is an important step for making the city boom.
Fannie Mae, a government-sponsored company, provides liquidity and affordability to the U.S. housing market by buying mortgages from lenders and packaging them into securities to sell to investors.
Fannie Mae has about a dozen offices nationwide and is currently headquartered in Washington D.C.
At this time the actual date of the move to the city has not been announced.
