Lyft Driver Attacked, Injured During Domestic Dispute

MOBILE, AL. Mobile police say that their officers responded to an armed assault at an apartment complex where a Lyft driver was the victim.
Police said that the incident happened on Saturday, December 6, 2025, during the early morning hours.
The female driver attempted to intervene in a domestic disturbance that involved her passenger and that’s when she was attacked by a man with a gun at the 701 South Apartments on University Boulevard.
When she arrived, the driver said her passenger was in a heated argument with a man that escalated quickly. She said when the woman tried to get away, the man started hitting her.
The Lyft driver said she yelled at the man to stop, but he turned on her, pulling out a handgun and cocking it. Instead of pulling the trigger, she said he ran up and hit her in the head twice with the gun.
The Lyft driver called 911 and police and EMS were dispatched to the apartments.
The unidentified driver received injuries and was transported to ana rea hospital.
Police said no arrests have been made.
