Teenager Killed in Mobile Homicide

MOBILE Ala. On Thursday, June 12, 2025, at approximately 3:54 p.m., officers responded to the 1900 block of Calmes Street in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a male juvenile victim was struck by gunfire in the street and the Mobile Fire Rescue and EMS responded.

The victim was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Further investigation revealed there was an altercation in the street between the victim and a known subject who was sitting in a vehicle on the roadway. During the altercation, both individuals fired shots at one another, with one of the bullets striking the juvenile.

The new camera project is still underway at nearby Rickarby Park and these cameras are not in place. No cameras at or near Rickarby Park captured the shooting, as it occurred in the street. Due to the victim’s age, his identity will not be released by police.

No arrests have been made at this time.
