Teenager Killed in Conecuh County Collision

CONECUH COUNTY, Ala. A series of crashes that led to a two-vehicle crash that occurred involving a pedestrian at approximately 9:25 p.m. Sunday, Sep. 13, 2026, has claimed the life of an Evergreen juvenile.
The pedestrian, who was an 18-year-old juvenile from Evergreen, was critically injured after being struck by the 2019 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Reynaldo R. Saucedo, 51, of Del Rio, Texas.
The Freightliner struck the 18-year-old as well as a 2019 Mazda CX-5 driven by Lauren M. Aylstock, 24, of Gulf Breeze, Fla. The 2019 Mazda CX-5 was stationary in the roadway and unoccupied at the time of the collision.
The Mazda CX-5 was involved in a series of crashes before being struck by the Freightliner according to ALEA.
The first of those collisions occurred when the 2021 Dodge Charger driven by the 18-year-old struck the Mazda CX-5.
The second collision involving the Mazda CX-5, which at this point was unoccupied and in the roadway and occurred when the Mazda was struck by the 2025 Hyundai Tucson driven by Lauren D. Bradley, 31, of Pensacola.
The 18-year-old exited the Charger after the collision with the Mazda and was in the roadway when struck by the Freightliner. The teen was transported to a local area hospital, where the youth succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
