Speeding, Reckless Driver Tries Fleeing Police Gets Arrested

MOBILE, Ala. Just minutes after a long pursuit ended in Mobile County on Monday afternoon, a state trooper spotted a person driving recklessly at a high rate of speed on the Interstate near downtown Mobile.

The trooper attempted to stop the driver, later identified as Calvin D. Woodruff.

Woodruff eventually pulled over for the ALEA officer and was placed under arrest and charged with Reckless Endangerment, and transported to the Mobile Metro Jail.

Local law enforcement reported four police pursuits during the past 24 hours.
