Sheriff’s Office Arrest Man on Felony Child Porn Charges

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala.

The Mobile County sheriff’s Office acting on a cyber tip were able to make an arrest this week of a man who possessed child pornography.

According to a Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, based on probable cause, the sheriff’s office was able to obtain a search warrant for the home of 45-year-old Jason WC Jones.

Special Operations Unit deputies conducted the search of the residence located at 4827 Todd Acres Drive.

Upon finding evidence of a felony crime, deputies then located Jones at his place of employment and took him into custody and he was taken to the Mobile County Metro Jail.

Jones has been charged with five counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of dissemination of child pornography.

According to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, 2 cyber tips were received about Jones’ online activities.
