Second Suspect in Wilcox County Murders Arrested in Florida

WILCOX COUNTY, AL. Law enforcement has announced that they have made a second arrest in the murders of two teenagers found deceased in a wooded area.
Alabama law enforcement had out information on the wanted suspect and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office in Florida said Edwin Hyde, 22, was found in Pensacola
Deputies there verified that Hyde had an active warrant for the murders of two teenagers, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, whose bodies had been found with gunshots wounds in Wilcox County.
Authorities stated that Hyde was located in Downton Pensacola and was arrested late Monday night by Escambia County deputies, working alongside the U.S. Marshalls, the State’s Attorney Office and the Pensacola Police Department. Hyde will be returned to Wilcox County for trial, the ECSO said.
Courtney Anderson, 27, of Thomasville was arrested earlier and remains in the Wilcox County Jail.
According to ALEA, the bodies of two teens, ages 17 and 18, were found with gunshot wounds near Ralph Ervin Road in Pine Hill in Wilcox County. According to court records, Anderson is accused of killing Kalisha Dunson, a Thomasville High School student, and Keyonate McCall. The teens, who had been reported missing since Nov. 17, were reportedly last seen near Thomasville, ALEA said.
