Search Continues For 7-year-old Hunter Slezak
DAUPHIN ISLAND Ala.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the search for the missing seven-year-old boy presumed lost at sea after a boating accident where his father and a family friend both drowned after leaving to go shrimping over the weekend.
The two bodies were recovered by searchers almost twenty-four hours after they had left the Dauphin Island area.
New information was made known this week when it was announced that when the vessel wrecked the cabin broke free and was not recovered with the rest of the boat.
It is possible that the body of 7-year-old Hunter Slezak may still be trapped inside that cabin and it may be either sunk and caught on the bottom of the sea floor or it may have floated further out to sea.
Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch has made it clear that he is not calling off the search and will continue combing the area with all the resources available at his disposal.
The Dauphin Island Police Department, Daphne Search and Rescue, ALEA’s helicopter, and citizen volunteers say that they will continue searching until they bring Hunter home.
