SATSUMA, Ala. Police responded to a report that a teenage girl was the victim of an attempted kidnapping on September 19, 2025.
However, after an investigation, Satsuma Police Chief Troy Willcutt has issued a statement reporting that it never happened and that the girl falsified the event.
Willcutt said that the teenage girl told investigators she was walking down 3rd Street in Satsuma when a white man with tan skin approached her in his single-cab pickup truck.
Police said the girl claimed the man grabbed her arm and tried to pull her into the truck, but she got away.
Chief Willcutt said after looking at video footage of the area, they concluded the “allegations to be false.”
Willcutt said that the Satsuma police are committed to the safety of its residents and that they also treat false reports with equal seriousness. Filing a false report diverts valuable resources, causes undue fear, and undermines public trust.
Accordingly, the Satsuma Police Department will be pursuing charges for False Reporting to Local, State, or Federal Law Enforcement Authorities.”
