Saraland Man Receives Two Life Sentences for Robbery-Homicide

MOBILE, Ala. A man who was found guilty in found guilty of murder and first-degree robbery in January of 2026 has now been given two life sentences.
Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood said that Tre’Vion Collins Smiley will probably spend the rest of his natural life in prison for a robbery-turned-murder in October of 2022 that happened in Chickasaw Alabama.
Collins-Smiley shot and killed Triston Bohannon on Oct. 21, 2022 during a robbery, Blackwood said.
“This sentence ensures that the defendant is held responsible for his violent actions,” District Attorney Blackwood said. “While no sentence can restore the life that was taken, this outcome brings finality and accountability. My office extends its continued condolences to the Bohannon family.”
Collins-Smiley’s co-defendant, Joseph Timmons, is also charged with murder and first-degree robbery.
According to court documents, his trial is set for next month.
