Rollover Crash Shuts Down Part of State Highway 181

A serious, multi-vehicle wreck on State Highway 181 and State Highway 104 shut down part of the busy road at around 2 p.m., Saturday afternoon.

The site of the crash has been the location of a number of similar crashes over the past two years.

Despite original reports of a car on fire and entrapments, only minor injuries were reported.

Both the Fairhope police and fire departments responded along with EMS and a state trooper.

The state trooper conducted an accident investigation, and the roads were reopened completely in less than an hour.

Another accident on State Highway 181 occurred the following day, Sunday, at approximately 12:50 p.m.
It involved several vehicles that were rear-ended in a crash.
No injuries were reported.
