Robertsdale Man Dies in Crash With Dump Truck

An accident Monday morning at around 10:15 a.m. in Magnolia Springs has claimed the life of a Robertsdale man according to ALEA.

The head-on crash involving a dump truck and a passenger vehicle occurred on CR 12 South.

Law enforcement said that the man was killed when the 2016 Nissan Versa he was driving collided head-on with a 2024 Freightliner dump truck driven by a Chunchula driver.

The Magnolia Springs Fire Department and an ambulance were the first to arrive at the scene along with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.

Stephen C. Brantley, Jr., 44, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The condition of the dump truck driver is unknown.

County Road 12 South at Roy Waters Rd was shut down for several hours.

ALEA said that the wreck is still under investigation.
