Police Pursuit On I-10 Ends in Arrest

MOBILE Ala. Police were involved in a pursuit after a driver refused to yield and pull over for law enforcement.

On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at approximately 6:32 p.m., a Mobile police officer was traveling westbound on I-10 when a vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed and passed the officer.

The officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop, and the officers engaged the driver in a pursuit.

The short vehicle pursuit ensued and was terminated near the intersection of Government Boulevard and northbound I-65, where officers got the driver stopped.

Niyoosha Kandezi, 31, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.
