Police Pursuit Ends With 4 Injured, Wrecked Mobile Police Vehicle

MOBILE Ala.
A police crash on Monday afternoon left four people injured including one Mobile Police officer and several vehicles damaged, including the officer’s police car.
Witnesses stated that the officer was disorientated and injured and sat on the ground for a short time.
Orange paint on the pavement still marked the point of impact late in the day, with still more markings and skid marks showing where the vehicles came to rest.
Monday evening, the Mobile Police Department issued the following statement about the accident.
“An MPD officer was responding to a nearby incident where a felony subject led officers on a pursuit that concluded a short time earlier.
While en route, the officer’s patrol vehicle was involved in a traffic accident with two other vehicles in the 4100 block of Government Boulevard.
Four people were transported to local hospitals with unknown injuries, including the officer. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.” The investigation is ongoing at this time.
