Police Make Traffic Stop and Find Vehicle is Stolen

Mobile police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Officers got the vehicle stopped in the 300 block of Bay Shore Avenue.

As officers were questioning the driver, later identified as Jason Sims, 51, they discovered that the vehicle had been stolen in Mississippi.

Officers took Sims into custody, and he has been charged with Receiving Stolen Property.

Sims was transported to and booked into the Mobile Metro Jail.
