Police Make Arrest in Bay Minette Shooting

BAY MINETTE, Ala. On April 13, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a reported shooting in the 400 block of South Hoyle Avenue involving a male victim.
Police, Bay Minette Fire department and EMS were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
The Balwin County Sheriff’s Office were asked to assist officers on scene.
Through coordinated efforts with our local law enforcement partners, a suspect has been identified and taken into custody.
We would like to extend our appreciation to the Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Corrections K-9 Unit for their assistance in this investigation.
The suspect was arrested and is in the Baldwin County Jail at this time.
