Police Investigating After Two People Shot Near University Hospital

The Mobile Police Department is investigating a double shooting that happened in the city Friday and police do have a person in custody.

Mobile police responded to the shooting around 9:30 on Cecilia Street, just off Summerville St.

Mobile Fire-Rescue also responded to the scene and treated the people who were shot.

As of late Friday night, police had not identified either victim, nor the shooter, but the two shot were believed to be a man and a woman.

Mobile Police said that more information will be released soon.
