Police Find $250,000 of Fentanyl During I-65 Traffic Stop

CONECUH COUNTY, Ala. Deputy sheriffs say that they conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 65 and that during the interaction with the driver, he appeared nervous, and deputies noticed a few things off about the vehicle as well.
Deputies were able to develop probable cause and conducted a search on the vehicle and found $250,000 worth of fentanyl.
During their search, law enforcement found a car battery that had been modified to conceal drugs which contained 15 pounds of fentanyl.
Tobias Billingsley, 32, from Knoxville, TN is being held in the Conecuh County jail on a one-million-dollar bond, according to the sheriff’s office.
