Police Chase Ends in Felony Drug Charge

MOBILE, AL. Police officers patrolling the area of St. Stephens Road and Rylands Street on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at approximately 7:10 p.m., observed a vehicle with a traffic infraction.

As officers initiated their traffic stop, the vehicle came to a stop, but then the driver jumped out of the car and began running on foot.

Mobile police said that he was detained shortly thereafter.

Through the course of the investigation, officers discovered multiple bags of a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana.

Peter Nobles, 40, was transported to Metro Jail.
