Pensacola Man Arrested After Pulling Gun on Uber Driver and Firing Shots

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. Among the most dangerous jobs in America are rideshare drivers including those who work for Uber, Lift, Taxi, and private drivers who are often robbed, assaulted and victims of homicides.
One of those drivers experienced a violent incident after picking up a passenger.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says it started out normally but quickly turned into a holdup Monday afternoon at around 3 p.m.
As the driver crossed the intersection of Lillian Highway and 52nd Avenue Quaye’Shjuan McKinney, 32, pulled out a gun and held the driver at gunpoint, and fired some shots inside the vehicle but they only hit the vehicle.
Law enforcement officers were able to get McKinney into custody, and he has been charged with:
Aggravated assault with a weapon
Possession of weapon by convicted felon
Burglary
Property damage
McKinney is being held in Escambia County Jail without bond.
