Orange Beach Wreck Injures Several People

ORANGE BEACH, Ala A multiple vehicle wreck on Canal Road near the Wharf Parkway West injured several people, including one person who was airlifted by a medical helicopter to an area trauma center.

The Orange Beach police and fire department responded to the crash scene just after midnight Sunday.

The roadway had to be shut down for a while due to debris in the roadway and because of the emergency vehicles that had responded.

The extent of injuries has not been disclosed but police said that the crash remains under investigation.
