Orange Beach City Schools achieves 100% graduation rate for Class of 2024
ORANGE BEACH, Ala. Orange Beach City Schools is thrilled to announce that the graduating class of 2024 has achieved an outstanding 100% graduation rate.
In Alabama, the graduation rate is determined by the percentage of students who graduate on time, within four years of entering ninth grade.
This cohort-based calculation includes all students who enrolled during those four years, making the 100% graduation rate even more significant.
Every student from Orange Beach’s Class of 2024 reached this milestone.
“We are incredibly proud of our students and the dedicated staff who supported them throughout their educational journey,” said Randy Wilkes, Superintendent of Orange Beach City Schools. “This achievement is a testament to the power of collaboration and our collective focus on preparing students for success in college, career, and life.”
This year’s achievement builds upon the success of the Class of 2023, which boasted an impressive 98% graduation rate. According to officials from the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE), the 2023 graduation rate will be used in the calculation of the state’s official Report Card, which is set to be released later this year.
The 100% graduation rate for the Class of 2024 further cements Orange Beach City Schools’ position among Alabama’s top performing districts, solidifying its reputation for fostering academic excellence.
