Near Drowning in Foley Sunday Reported

FOLEY Ala. A near-drowning on Sunday, June 8th, 2025 almost cost a man his life but thankfully he was found just in time.
It is not known what exactly happened but the unidentified person was pulled from the water and given CPR while police and fire personnel responded to the residence on Hoppes Drive at around 6:40 p.m.
Foley police, Foley and Bon Secour Fire Departments, and Medstar responded to the home and immediately began treating the patient and transported the person to an area hospital.
We have been told that the person is recovering at this time.
This is at least the fifth known near drowning in at homes or businesses in Baldwin County during the past two months and more than two dozen people have been rescued by lifeguards in Gulf shores including several that had to be rushed to an area hospital for treatment.
