Multiple Fire Departments Called To Structure Fire

LOXLEY Ala.

A fire that possibly started on the back porch of a home in Loxley quickly took off and engulfed
part of the home at 31642 Shadwell Dr at about 2 a.m.

Loxley police were the first on the scene and reported a “working” structure fire and a mutual-aid
call was sent out to other area fire departments to respond for assistance.

Firefighters from the Robertsdale, Summerdale, Belforest, and Stapleton fire Departments responded with manpower and equipment.

Firefighters worked on the fire for several hours but the home sustained a considerable amount of
damage.

No serious injuries were reported at the fire scene.

An investigation is underway.
