Multiple Fire Departments Battle Wilmer Structure Fire

WILMER, Ala. Firefighters from multiple fire departments responded to a structure fire in Mobile County early Sunday morning.
According to a spokesperson for the volunteer fire department, they were initially dispatched to a home on Timberland Drive East and Olivia Drive at about 6 a.m.
Heavy fire was coming from the home when firefighters arrived, and they called for mutual-aid assistance from the Wilmer, Citronelle and Georgetown fire departments.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out, but the home sustained heavy fire damage and a vehicle parked near the structure was also damaged.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
There were no reported injuries.
