Multi-Vehicle I-10 Wreck Injures Multiple People

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. A multi-vehicle wreck on Interstate 10 near the Welcome Center shut down westbound traffic for almost two hours Thursday, October 15, 2026.
Emergency responders from several local fire departments were first on the scene at approximately 2:05 p.m.
According to authorities at least four people were injured, and one had critical injuries.
Interstate 10 was completely shut down in the area for quite a while as medical attention was given to the injured and ALEA conducted their investigation.
A medical helicopter was also dispatched to the scene to airlift one critically injured person.
The interstate was reopened in that area at around shortly after 4 p.m.
This wreck remains under investigation.
