Mobile Police Searching for Shooting Suspect

MOBILE Ala.

Mobile Police responded to a shooting that had occurred in the area of Cuba Street and Congress Street where officers found a female who had been shot.
Further investigation found that the victim knew the person who shot her and that they had been involved in an altercation when the shooting occurred.

Police have now identified Marcus Johnson, 39 as the person that was involved in the shooting, and police are actively searching for Johnson.

The Mobile Police SWAT Unit has responded to several locations where Johnson was thought to be hiding, but he was not apprehended.

Police are asking that if you know his whereabouts to please call their tip line. You can remain anonymous.

This remains an active investigation.
