Mobile Police Lieutenant Placed on Administrative Leave

MOBILE, Ala.
The Mobile Police Department has confirmed that a longtime police officer has been placed on administrative leave during an investigation.
According to Police Chief William Jackson, Lt. Sean Fisher who has more than twenty years of service with the agency, was placed on leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation that began in late October.
Chief Jackson released a statement, saying in part, “I took immediate action to place him on administrative leave, and while I can’t discuss the ongoing investigation at this time, I will update you if any additional steps are taken going forward.”
Fisher became a Mobile Police Officer in 2005. In his nearly two decades of service, he’s racked up several accolades, including being named Officer of the Month in February 2007 for assisting in the removal of large amounts of drugs from the streets.
Fisher has worked in numerous specialized units within the police department.
Because of the ongoing investigation personnel matter, Jackson would not release any further details of this matter.
