MOBILE, AL. Two shootings on Wednesday in Mobile left one man dead and police looking for answers.
Mobile Police Chief William Jackson stated that investigators are working some leads, questioning potential witnesses, and looking for video from the area.
Police and fire-rescue were called to McVay Drive shortly after 3:30 Wednesday, August 13, 2025, after one man was shot and killed.
Just two streets away, yellow tape blocked off the scene of a second shooting on Boudousquie Street where police found one man shot.
He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Police said that while they were at the shooting scene on McVay Drive they heard several shots being fired nearby and drove to the area to investigate.
Mobile Police Chief William R. Jackson said. “We responded over there, drove through the area, didn’t locate anything and went back to the original scene. But we were ultimately called back out here.”
According to police, the shooting on McVay and Boudousquie Street happened around the same time, but it’s unclear if the two are connected.
