Mobile Police Investigating a Double Shooting on Brewton Avenue

MOBILE, Ala. The Mobile Police Department is investigating a shooting on Brewton Avenue that occurred on Thursday afternoon that sent a man and a woman to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Mobile police, and the Mobile Fire-Rescue responded at around 3 p.m. to the 2400 block of Brewton Avenue and found several people shot. They found the man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Those injuries are not believed to be life- threatening, police said.
Detectives took over the investigation and believe that the shooting may was a retaliation for something that previously occurred.
The investigation is continuing.
