Mobile Police Citizen’s Academy Taking Applications

The Mobile Police Department’s Citizen’s Academy is scheduled for April 15, 2025, through June 24, 2025, at 1251 Virginia Street.

The academy is free and open to qualifying Mobile County residents and nonresidents who work in the city of Mobile.

Participants must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license with no significant arrest history.
All participants will undergo a background check.

These classes will be held on Tuesday nights, but there will be two Saturday classes required during the duration of the academy.

Topics that are typically covered during these classes include:

Crime Scene Security and Investigation

Traffic Operations

Tactical Unit Callout

Bomb Detail

Case Investigation

Crime Prevention

Please use the link below to register. Applicants will need to print and bring their application to the Police Academy no later than next Friday morning.

Registration has been extended through NEXT FRIDAY, April 4.
