Mobile Police Charge Three Teenagers With Threats Against Schools

Mobile police have charged three teenagers with recent threats against two different local schools.
On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers received a tip regarding a threat against a school that was made on social media.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered a juvenile male subject made a comment on social media threatening violence at a school but did not specify which campus.
Police officers were able to identify and soon located the subject, and the case is being referred to Strickland Youth Center.
A second incident was reported on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at approximately 3 p.m., and officers were made aware of another school threat involving two juvenile male subjects.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered the threat of violence was made towards Booker T. Washington Middle School.
Mobile police conducted further investigations and officers identified and located the subjects who made the threats and both were arrested and charged.
