Mobile Police Charge Man With Felony Fleeing and Multiple Drug Offenses

MOBILE Ala.
Officers on patrol in Mobile attempted to stop a vehicle but it fled and crashed at the intersection of Clay and Congress streets.
Mobile police say that the driver, Shelbie Davis refused to stop and led police on a short pursuit eventually crashing his vehicle.
MPD said officers had spotted him selling what they believed to be narcotics and wanted to speak to him about it when he took off from police.
Davis has been charged with felony attempting to elude and numerous drug offenses including illegal possession of prescription drugs, possession of a controlled substance, second-degree marijuana possession, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, trafficking fentanyl, trafficking cocaine, and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is currently being held at the Mobile Metro Jail.
