Mobile Man Charged With Impersonating Law Enforcement

A man trying to pass him off as a law enforcement officer was arrested Friday night and booked into the Mobile Metro Jail.
The Mobile Police Department said that they responded at around 11 p.m. Friday when to the Chevron station at 1275 Springhill Ave. in reference to a man impersonating a police officer. When officers arrived, they saw Hughes wearing a shirt with a badge.
When officers questioned the man, later identified as Joshua Hughes, he admitted that he was not a police officer.
Hughes was released on bail within two hours of his arrest and given a court date to appear.
