Mobile Man Arrested for Retail Theft, Drugs, Stolen Vehicle

Employees at the Best Buy store in Mobile notified police that a a man was in the store stealing merchandise.

Officers responded to 1310 B Tingle Circle East and found that John French, 60 was still inside the store committing the theft.

While conducting their investigation, police found that the vehicle that French was driving had been reported stolen.

Officers said that French also had illegal drugs on his person.

French was arrested and transported to the Mobile Metro jail.

French faces charges of:
Receiving Stolen Property
Retail Theft of Property
Possession of a controlled Substance
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
