Fire Departments Contain, Extinguish Scrapyard Fire

Firefighters from several departments were called in to contain and extinguish a fire at a local scrapyard Thursday afternoon.

Numerous vehicles were reported to be on fire and there was a concern that the fire could spread further.

The business located at 28560 US 90 in Elsanor had dark black smoke pouring from it according to an area resident.

The Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency was also notified.

Fire personnel were on scene for several hours.

There were no reports of any injuries.
