Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Now Investigating All Major Crimes in Pritchard
MOBILE COUNTY Ala.
On Tuesday, December 3rd, Mobile County Sheriff, Paul Burch and Pritchard Police Chief Walter Knight met to discuss having the sheriff’s office investigate violent crimes that occur within the Prichard City limit.
At this time, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office will respond to, and investigate all violent and major crimes including homicides, sexual assaults, assaults with weapons and other crimes as requested.
This is a request by the Chief of Police, Walter Knight.
All other crimes, other than the ones listed above, will continue to be handled by Prichard
Police Department.
“I met with Chief Knight this morning and then my staff to discuss how we will respond, and we are ready to roll,” says Sheriff Paul Burch.
“All citizens that live in Mobile County deserve the right to have the protection of Law Enforcement.
Chief Knight has asked for our help, and we will respond.”
Citizens of Pritchard are asked to call 911 for all emergencies.
