Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Charge Man With Manslaughter in Drug Overdose Death

On March 5, 2025, at approximately 1:30 PM, The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 101 South Mauvilla Drive, Chickasaw, Alabama.
The search warrant was regarding an overdose death that occurred at the residence on September 29, 2024.
The five-month investigation led MCSO to THOMAS CHRISTOPHER CARTER (DOB 07/21/1988), who was identified as being involved in the sale and transport of illegal narcotics.
During the investigation, CARTER, became the primary suspect in the Fentanyl-related death of his stepsister, Lindsey Brooke Walker, who was found dead in the backyard of the residence listed above on September 29, 2024.
MCSO found nine individuals who were present including CARTER during the search warrant. All occupants were apprehended without incident.
Two occupants were juveniles on probation and were turned over to the Department of Human Resources, (DHR).
CARTER provided a full confession, after being read his Miranda Rights, in which he admitted to supplying the narcotics that caused the untimely death of Lindsey Walker.
CARTER has been charged with (2) counts of Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, (2) Counts of Chemical Endangerment to a Child, (2) Counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, and Manslaughter.
CARTER has been booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail.
