Mobile County Sheriff Investigators Release Details of Chickasaw Shootings

A shooting that occurred on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in Chickasaw at the Oak Garden Apartments that killed one person and injured two others has been investigated by the Chickasaw Police and the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
What the investigation determined was that the person who died on scene has been identified as Noah Jones.
Detectives with the sheriff’s department interviewed several witnesses on the scene at the time of the shooting and they were also brought to the MCSO Administration Building for questioning.
Witnesses who were in the apartment at the time of the shooting told law enforcement that Jones had entered the apartment with two handguns and opened fire without warning.
One person returned fire killing him.
Investigators say that there were two males who were with Jones as he was entering the apartment, and they fled the scene when the shooting began.
MCSO Detectives are continuing to investigate this shooting and is searching for the identity of the two males who accompanied Jones to the apartment.
The names of the two people inside the apartment are not being released at this time.
One is listed in critical condition and the other was treated and released.

At this time, the shooting seems to be in self-defensive, however, the investigation is still ongoing.
