Mobile County Grand Jury Indicts Trio on Child Sodomy Charges

MOBILE, AL. A Mobile County Grand Jury indicted a trio accused of sodomy involving children.
Jeremy Dugas, Billy Joe Johnson, were charged with sex abuse with a child and first-degree sodomy and a third person, identified as Lydia Smith was indicted by a grand jury in December.
Johnson is accused of engaging in sodomy with a child younger than 12 years old and subjecting a child younger than 12 to sexual contact; Dugas faces the same accusations, according to the indictment. Smith is accused of sodomy with a child younger than 12.
According to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office, the three defendants are known to each other, and the cases are related.
Dugas and Johnson were each granted a $90,000 bond; Smith was granted a $60,000 bond. The three remain in jail at this time.
