Louisiana Woman Struck and Killed By Car in Orange Beach

ORANGE BEACH, Ala.

A woman and her family were attempting to cross a busy in Orange Beach Sunday evening when she was struck and killed by a vehicle.

According to one bystander that we interviewed, the traffic was heavy and when there seemed to be a break, the family crossed Perdido Beach Boulevard, and the 43-year-old from Louisiana, was struck and killed.

Witnesses said that several people began rendering aid and that fire and EMS personnel provided
lifesaving measures, but the woman succumbed to her injuries on-scene.

The name of the woman has not been released.

Orange Beach Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

There has also been at least one other pedestrian killed in the same area recently.
