A police pursuit in Mobile ended with the arrest of juveniles and a third person on the run.
Police said that they were on routine patrol in the area of McVay Drive North and Navco Road just after 11 p.m. when they spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
Mobile Police officers turned on their emergency equipment and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the driver immediately shut off their headlights and fled from the officers.
According to police, the vehicle eventually became disabled after crashing into a utility trailer that was being towed by a truck, and that’s when three people jumped out of the vehicle and ran.
Officers chased after the three and were able to catch two of them who turned out to be juveniles.
Police said that the driver of the truck was injured and was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Those two teens were taken to the Strickland Youth Center.
