Irvington Man Receives Prison Term for DUI Crash

MOBILE, Ala. A man who is accused of causing a serious wreck that severely injured a motorcyclist has now been sentenced to prison.
Kody Wilcox of Irvington Alabama pleaded guilty in April to first-degree assault DUI and escape.
The crash occurred in 2020 on Airport Blvd. while Wilcox was driving under the influence of alcohol when he crashed his vehicle into a motorcycle that then burst into flames.
The victim on the motorcycle suffered severe injuries and had to have his leg amputated.
A judge has now sentenced Wilcox to 15 years, with all but three years suspended and five years of probation.
