Irvington Man Dies in Wreck Near Atmore

ATMORE, AL. ALEA and emergency responders were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:05 p.m. on Friday October 17, 2025.
Despite all rescue attempts, one person has lost his life.

Edward Lambert, 84, of Irvington, was fatally injured when the 2003 Dodge 2500 pickup he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned. Lambert was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Jack Springs Road, approximately two miles northwest of Atmore, in Escambia County.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
