Interstate 65 Near Delta Bridge Shut Down to Crash 

BALDWIN COUNTY Ala.

UPDATE: 1 person is being treated at this time.

UPDATE: A dozen vehicles including 3 eighteen wheelers and a box truck were involved and many people have been injured.
One person also jumped over the bridge into the river below.

Travel on Interstate 65 Southbound near the Delta Bridge has been stopped this morning for several hours
due to a very serious accident.

Several motorists reported that it appeared to be a head-on crash involving a wrong-way driver involved but we are unable to confirm this.

Another motorist also sent a photo of rescue boats in the water searching for something, possibly a person.

ALEA sent out a message a short time ago saying that this situation will take a while to clear up and
that traffic will be backed up for a while longer.
