Illegal Immigrant Kills 6-Year-Old Girl in Baldwin County While Driving Under The Influence 

SUMMERDALE Ala.

An illegal immigrant originally from Honduras who drove under the influence of alcohol and crashed his vehicle killing a 6-year-old girl, is now charged with manslaughter.

The illegal immigrant has been identified as 25-year-old Zelvin G. Pavon-Gomez of Summerdale.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the single-vehicle crash happened early Monday morning in Baldwin County.

Pavon-Gomez is being charged with first-degree assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, and manslaughter after his car crashed into an SUV that killed  a 6-year-old girl inside.

ALEA troopers sought a search warrant to obtain a blood draw of the driver at a local hospital.

He is now being held in the Baldwin County Jail.
