Gulf Shores Trash Truck Wreck Injures 2 People

GULF SHORES, Ala. A near-head-on collision on Tuesday, August 18th, 2026, injured several people.
According to a Gulf Shores police spokesperson, a city trash truck and a passenger vehicle collided near West Fort Morgan Road and West Second Street.
Gulf Shores police, EMS and the fire department responded to the scene.
Two of the occupants of the SUV were transported to Gulf Shores Freestanding by MedStar.
It is unknown if the driver of the trash truck sustained any injuries.
The SUV was towed from scene due to disabling damage.
