Grand Bay Man Fatally Injured in Single Vehicle Wreck

MOBILE COUNTY, AL. ALEA responded to a single vehicle crash which occurred on McClinton Road near Porter Tract Road, approximately 13 miles west of Mobile, in Mobile County.

Troopers, local firefighters and EMS were dispatched to the traffic collision on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at approximately 8:05 p.m.

First responders found that the driver who was later identified as James K. Raustler, 78, was fatally injured when the 2017 Toyota Tacoma he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire. Raustler was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
